This wine is intense in color and full of aromas like cherries, blackberries, figs, cassis and cloves with elegant spice and mineral notes. The mouth is crisp and robust with a high concentration of ripe and round tannins.

Bodega Colome was founded in 1831, probably by the Spanish Governor of Salta, Nicoles Severo de Isasmendi y Echalar. In 1854, his daughter Ascensifen, who married to Jose Benjamedn Devalos, brought the first French pre-phylloxera Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines to Colome. Grapes from three vineyards, planted in that year, are still used in the production of Colome Reserva wines. Colome Estate belonged to Isasmendi-Devalos families along 170 years. Donald Hess acquired it in 2001. Donald and Ursula Hess first visited the Calchaqued Valleys in 1998. They were searching for the perfect terroir and the ideal weather to produce truly unique Argentinean wines. What they discovered here was beyond their expectations: they actually found their second home. The grandeur and natural beauty of Colome inspired and rejuvenated them. In 2001, they purchased Colome. Since then, they created the recent history of Colome, the richest in achievements and developments, both for Winery and the people of Colome.Their vision includes social responsibility towards the people of Colome. Hess family contributed to the building of the village community centre and the church, and to the betterment of the school and the community housing. Nowadays, Colome is the source of employment and income for most of the village inhabitants. Today, Colome Winery is a model winery producing quality premium wines in Argentina. Every year, it produces over half a million litres of wine and exports its wines to over 40 countries around the world.
